I’m a graphic designer who specializes in logo design. I communicate ideas through images.

My focus began in the graphic design program at Penn State, where I earned a B.A. with high distinction. My junior and senior years, I worked part-time at a media agency, where I had opportunities to design and illustrate ads, publications and logos. Later, in full-time jobs in advertising and at universities, I realized identity design was my keenest interest. So when the opportunity to work independently arose, I launched Liz Valentine Logo Design.

This work is endlessly engaging and rewarding. It’s a privilege to help clients tell the world who they are, what they do, through simply a mark.

Think about it: a logo is the entry point to a business or organization. It sets the personality, determines how people gauge it. Indeed, it’s an investment—not simply a cost—because it delivers returns over many years. That’s real impact.

I believe logo design—or any kind of design—should have essential meaning: it must make sense to the sender and the receiver, the final user. It should have clarity of both intent and result—which is how it solves problems. It should be appropriate, never arbitrary; timeless, not trendy. Committed to quality. Every detail must matter.

My portfolio (home) page displays my logo work aspiring to those standards, for a variety of businesses and organizations. Please note these are not generic symbols upon which I’ve slapped a company name. There are many websites where these can be purchased; this is not one of them.

Rather, I labor to fundamentally understand who you are, where you want to go. With your input, I define the specific objectives of your graphic identity then develop a solution to reflect your values and differentiate your business in the eyes of your clients. Always, I strive to make each design distinctive, legible, flexible and—importantly—memorable.

Liz
